Take advantage of the free demo. They also have something called the live online webinar. Its like a seminar that you might attend and its very informative. I was sure that I did NOT want to buy into their program after learning more about the pros and cons.

Let me share however that TradeStation is not a terrible platform to use for trading. Like other platforms it offers trading strategies which it says come with decades of information. Their most useful tool is the OptionStation which is fully programmable for your trades.

I did not find Tradestation that "powerful" a platform. I have had and do have other platforms I find just as satisfactory. I tried Tradstation for my "30 day free trial." Near the end of the trial, I was looking at a fee on my account. I called and found that they had charged me fro my free period. I was told this was an error and that they would reverse the charge. At this point I was told that, within the next
few days, they would be charging my monthly fee. I said "oh, you charge it in front and then rebate it? That makes sense." Then I was told "you did not trade enough during your "free period" so you will be charged for the next month." When I explained that I thought it was a "free period," I was told there was no way to avoid the fee now.

While I would be okay with the fee for undertrading, I did not feel that
this was an acceptable approach. So I chose to close my account- now. I verbally requested my withdrawal to be via check. I was told that it would have to be via wire. I completed the paperwork.

In my time, however brief, of option trading, I have found that no platform out performs TradeStation and OptionStation. Options trading is a type of trading that surely will allow you to purchase an option before trading the stock. This platform is useful for options scanning and using their analysis tool allows the investor to accurately project market gain or loss for those particular options. I was weary of having to open an account with them but I found their support and aid quite helpful and see a bright financial future ahead.

Don't buy into to this platform. Ameritrade is capable of fulfilling all your trading needs. TradeStation will not accurately project your max gain. The market outlook and strategies they put together are way off.
